Croix Mark Costen

Virginia Beach – Croix Mark Costen, 40 days old, passed away August 31, 2015 at CHKD in the arms of his loving parents, Mark & LeAnn Costen.
He is survived by his triplet brothers, Arian & Beckett Costen; other siblings, Philip & Lucia Costen and Kayla Kent; maternal grandparents, Thomas & Marion Wittman; paternal grandparents, Nelson & Leslie Costen; and many other family members & friends.
Croix and his triplet brothers were born on, July 22, 2015 on their mother LeAnn’s birthday. Croix weighed 2 lbs. 13.8 oz and was 15.5 inches long. During Croix’s short time on earth, he enjoyed book readings from his mother LeAnn, and his older brother Philip. Croix also enjoyed music time with his father, Mark.  Croix would raise his eyebrows or open his eyes when he heard the familiar voices of his loved ones. His fighting spirit touched the lives of family, the CHKD staff, and many others who never got the privilege to meet him.  Croix is now in the loving arms of the Lord our Savior, his Uncle Philip, his Great Grandmother Sawyer, and his Uncle Wade. He will always be loved, never forgotten, and the moments we have spent with him will always be cherished.
The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd, Virginia Beach on Wednesday from 11:00am – 12:00pm where a funeral service will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Daniel Davey officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer you bring a teddy bear or a baby rattle with you to the funeral home on Wednesday to be donated to the CHKD Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in appreciation of their tender care for Croix.
