Christopher James Cooper, passed away on Friday, February 25th, 2022, in Norfolk. Chris was born in Chesapeake, VA. to Belinda Cooper and James Horton. Chris attended Currituck County High School. Chris worked as a landscaper, sheetrock installer and a carpenter.
As a child Chris enjoyed fishing, soccer, basketball, and riding ATV’s. As an adult he started working out on a regular basis. He loved having cook outs and taking his kids and all the other kids in the trailer park to the local park. He enjoyed hanging out with Thomas, his youngest brother, fishing, going out to eat Chinese food and playing basketball.
Chris was predeceased by his brother Charles Wayne Cooper.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Tom and Belinda Rowe and Jimmy and Cindy Horton, his wife Caitlin, his children Noah (11), Belinda (10) Mary (5) and Liz (14). His brothers Dillion (Emily), James and Thomas. He also leaves behind 2 uncles Dennis and Joe Horton and his nephews Colin Cooper and Kingston Bowe and his aunts. His Grandparents Don and Shirley Blount and Wayne and Doris Rowe. His stepbrothers Josh, Jimmy and Ryan and his cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on March 14th, 2022, at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel. Public visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Services begin at 11.
