Charlie Foster, Jr.

Charlie Foster, Jr., 64, of Suffolk, VA passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
Charlie was born in Germany the son of the late Charlie Foster, Sr. and Ethel L. Foster. He attended Hampton Public Schools. Shortly after school, Charlie began a career at Newport News Shipyard where he worked until retirement. At a young age, Charlie fulfilled the necessary requirements and was ordained as a pastor at First Church of Newport News Baptist where he remained active until he became ill.
Charlie is survived by a special friend, Joanne C. Butler and many close relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held, 1pm, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at First Church of Newport News Baptist. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of service. Interment will be held at Oakland Christian Church Cemetery in Suffolk after the repast.
