Charles Richard Crockett, 30, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Suffolk, Virginia. Charles was born on September 30, 1986 to David and Diane Crockett in Chicago, Illinois. He was a graduate of the American Military University.
Charles joined the US Navy in 2005. A few years later met the love of his life, Edilma Valencia while stationed in Manama, Bahrain shortly after they were relocated to Virginia. Charles and Edilma married in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Crockett’s union brought forth one child, Isabel Mariella. Charles took into his loving care Edilma’s three children Matthew, Daniella and Anthony. Charles’ family was his everything. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing spades, darts and video games as well as working on his home.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Edilma; four children Matthew, Daniella, Anthony and Isabel; mother Mary; brothers and sisters John, Jason and Amber and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

MA1 was great guy. I looked to him for guidance because you can tell he had a lot of knowledge. I was going to ask him to be my mentor. I looked up to him. I’m sorry for the families loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I was Charles’ math teacher at Oak Park & River Forest High School and thought very highly of him. He will be missed.
