Well, besides being one of my best pet clients ever….ever…and he was a gem, he was probably the most genuine person I have ever met. I have to say even for my, shall we say, walled fortress of a heart for humans, Mr Apperson was a warrior for human and animal souls….lets see…he was one of my first clients, brought me my first Parvo virus dog at my new tiny clinic in Madison Va, was the only outpatient parvo patient- home care ever before or since, cause the little dog was so incredibly terrified that Mr. A would come to my clinic and wait with the dog , Penny?, in his arms while she got the IV fluids. He married me to my husband, with a dog Paige as my maid of honnor, and never minded that I had dogs for witnesses…he did bring Mrs Apperson along…I guess to make it legal….He and Mrs A never flinched when a dog fight broke out during a major lightning storm as we recited nuptials, and thunder and lightening cracked…it was a classic moment….they never blinked….
Besides all that, I loved him with all my heart and it makes me cry to know he is gone…I know he is missed. love you Mr Apperson….Nancy

Pastor Apperson served as Interim Pastor for our church a few years back. As one of the church Secretaries at that time, I was privileged to be able to get to know him on both a personal and a professional level. He was a true man of God on all levels. Heaven is a little sweeter with him there. Praying for his family.
