Carol D Palmer passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2023, peacefully surrounded by her family. Carol was born on April 1st, 1946 to Daniel Fetters and Carrie Elizabeth Robertson in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in 1964 and served in the United States Navy for two years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don Wayne “Butch” Robertson, Jimmy Dale Robertson, Samuel Gene Robertson, and Daniel Perry Robertson, as well as her sister Sadie Irene Chesser. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Luther Palmer, her two sons Joe Burt II (Melanie), Jeremy Burt, Luther’s children Michael Palmer and Tricia Croom, four grandchildren Joe Burt III (Olivia), Ashley Burt, Jordan Burt and Heather Chaffin (Danny), two great-grandchildren Luke and Danica. and sister Fleta Bell Walker (James) alongside many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
A visitation will be held Monday May 29th, 2023 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Home at 5033 Rouse Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Carol’s honor. Condolences can be left for the family below.
