Carl R. Brooks, Jr.

Carl Rosen Brooks, Jr. passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Virginia Beach, VA surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born June 25, 1952 to Carl Sr. and Catherine Brooks in Portsmouth, VA. He was a graduate of Cradock High School in Portsmouth.
Carl met his lovely wife, Deborah at City Park. Carl and Deborah married and resided in both Portsmouth and Virginia Beach where they raised children Paul and Krystal.
Carl cherished Christmas year round and held it’s spirit near and dear to his heart. He enjoyed the beach and was a jolly big hearted kid.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents Carl Sr. and Catherine Brooks as well as his son Paul Sadler. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Deborah; daughter Krystal; grandson Anthony; Amy (grandchildren  Eric Jr., Elizabeth, Elijah, Eliana Elliott); siblings William, Mary, Michael, and Rose and beloved dog Tucker.
A visitation will be held from 12:30PM to 1:00PM with service to follow at 1:00PM on Friday January 14, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr. in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 1:00PM at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
