Beulah Beth Hackworth Jennings, 82, passed away at home on Saturday, February 26th, 2022, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Jennings was born in San Antonio, Texas to the late Gregory and Geneva Hackworth. She was a graduate of Caroline County High School and Tidewater Community College. She was retired from the Naval supply Center, where she was a buyer for the Navy and Chesapeake Public Schools, where she served as a teacher assistant and secretary. 
      Mrs. Jennings is predeceased by her husband, Cecil W. Jennings; her son, Gregory W. Jennings; and her siblings Gary Hackworth and Gloria Hall.
     Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Cecilia “Cissy” Zaharia and her husband, George, and her son Cecil W. Jennings II, and his wife, Sherry. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Brittany Hackett and her husband Chris, Hailee Jennings and her fiancé Caleb James, Hannah and Caleb Zaharia, as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Savannah Grace Hackett. She is also survived by her two siblings; Charles Hackworth and his wife Dorothy and Becky Gower and her husband Earle.
     A celebration of her life will be held at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, located at 529 Providence Road, on Tuesday March 1st, at 6p.m. The family invites you to the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service for a reception. Burial will be at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens at a later date.
      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gregory W. Jennings Athletic Scholarship care of Towne Bank, 137 Mt. Pleasant Road, Chesapeake, VA. 23322 attn: Karen Gawne.

Mrs. Jennings was always very kind to me when I was a student in high school. Later, I had the pleasure of knowing her daughter, Cissy, as a friend , colleague and boss. May God grant peace to the family during this difficult time.
