Antonio Dominic Lowrey

Antonio Dominic Lowrey, 19 departed this world on Sunday, May 7, 2023 in Portsmouth, VA. Antonio was born August 12, 2003 to Donielle Christjohn (Hamer) and Zachary Lowrey. Antonio was a graduate of First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, VA.
Antonio loved so many and was loved by so many more. He had an energy that even with just one encounter with him you would remember him for life. If you knew him well or barely at all he always left you thinking.
With his contagious personality along with a smile that could light up a room he enjoyed his favorite past time like playing sports, gaming with a unique “crawl technique” on his controllers. Antonio loved being near the water, so much he became a “lifeguard” and took long walks on the beaches from Cape May, NJ to the sands of Virginia Beach, VA. Where he resided with his loving parents Donielle and Roger Christjohn and his little sister Deylah.
Most importantly Antonio had a deep love for his family and friends and cherished the time they would spend together. He enjoyed all conversation as long or brief as they were and would never call you by your name, sometimes you were just “BRO”.
Preceded in death by great grandparents: Alice & Kenneth Howard, Nancy & Roger Christjohn, Bonnie & Longino Gonzales, and his loving pets Nala and Shawnee
Survived by his parents: Donielle & Roger Christjohn, Zachary Lowrey. Sibling: Deylah Christjohn. Grandparents: Jerry & Gina Giannini, Kim & Donald Hamer, Joan & Derrick Bickham and Elizabeth Christjohn. Great Grandparents: Rose and Donald Hamer. Godmother: Florence Brown “Aunt Skip” along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 located at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In lieu of flower donations there will be a foundation set up in the name of Antonio Lowrey to be announced at a later date. Thank you for your love and support.
