Ann Lee Skinner

Ann Lee Skinner, 84, of Newport News, passed away on September 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Ann grew up in Newport News, where she later met her devoted husband, George. They settled in Newport News where they raised their two sons, Sonny and David. She spent the last year and half residing with her son, David and his wife, Susan. Ann loved nothing more than her sons and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her free time, Ann enjoyed painting and was gifted at capturing nature on her canvases. She was also a talented pianist. Ann will be greatly missed by her family and remembered for her warm and loving nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Skinner; brother, Ronald Agee; and parents, William and Beryl Mater. She is survived by her sons, Sonny (Barbara) Skinner and David (Susie) Skinner; siblings, Charles Zachary and Rae Ermlich; grandchildren, Kristina (Ryan) Brooks, Amanda (Nick) Bounds, and Ashley (Matt) Baldwin; and 6 great-grandchildren.
