It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful son, Alexander Julius Johnson, at the young age of 22 years old. His short life ended peacefully in his home in Norfolk, Virginia on the morning of Tuesday, April 18. Until God embraced him in his arms, we were given a very special and very unique soul to have in our lives. Alex was a graduate of Penn Foster High School. He graced everyone with love, friendship, and a kind heart. His passions were for music, art, and fashion. His amazing aura and charisma will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents Mario and Stephanie Johnson; brother Korey Johnson; paternal grandparents Belinda and Willie Spruill; maternal grandparents Nancy and Randy Beight; as well as extended family and friends who loved him dearly. His spirit will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts until we meet again.
Family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home 5033 Rouse Dr. in Virginia Beach on Thursday, April 27 from 5-8pm. A funeral will be held the following day at Altmeyer Funeral Home at 10am followed by interment at Forest Lawn.
