Adrienne Ndede Vermaaten, 54, of Virginia Beach, Virginia sadly passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2023. She was born in Bonoua, Ivory Coast, on March 3, 1969, and was the beloved daughter of Allou N’Dédé and Fatho Ahou.
Adrienne was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who was always there for her family.
Adrienne spent her career as a professional stylist and was exceptional at her craft. She was the owner of Adrienne Beauty, where many of her clients became extended family.
Adrienne enjoyed taking car rides with her husband in their jeep, spending time at the beach, dancing to music, and enjoying her friends and loved ones. She loved seafood and life and would spend time on her patio enjoying a glass of sangria.
Adrienne is survived by her husband Tim Vermaaten of Virginia Beach as well as her son, Boris Goli and his wife Kelsey of Chesapeake, her daughter Estelle Walker and her husband Eric and their daughter, Éllicia of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She also had two stepchildren, Kelsey Vermaaten of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Hunter Vermaaten of Virginia Beach.
Adrienne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 2:00pm following the visitation.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for refreshments on the site, directly following the service.

She was a beautiful person. She will never be forgotten. She touched so many lives. It will take time for all to heal but we will join and be with her again .
I am so sorry to hear of the sudden death of Adrienne. Like many, I am in complete unbelief. I loved her radiant smile and sense of humor. Other than Estelle, Adrienne was Alexis’ favorite hair braided.

I am still in shock. My sincerest condolences for the family at this time. Tim you have my deepest sympathy, I remember her beautiful smile when you guys first met at Costal flats. Adrienne was such an angel. she always saw the good in everything. Wishing you all peace, comfort, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. Our hearts are deeply saddened. Adrienne was the sweetest, most genuine person to ever be around. Her joy brightened up any room she entered. My friend…Adrienne was an angel on earth. She had the most beautiful spirit I’ve ever encountered. My heart is truly broken and that of those in my family. Some of them only met her once , but she touched them in a special way. I will always remember her beautiful smile and her kindness and generosity. I know God doesn’t make mistakes because He chose to take home one of His most excellent masterpieces, Adrienne. My deepest sympathy for the Vermaaten family. Adrienne’s life ended far to soon and her joyous nature and smile will be missed. She had a great talent braiding hair into any style her clients wanted.
