03/22/1959 - 07/03/2023

Jacqueline “Jackie” Johnson, the vibrant and spirited individual who embraced life with a tie-dye shirt and a rainbow of pink, has left this world on July 3, 2023, at the age of 64. Born on March 22, 1959, in Norfolk, VA, Jackie’s journey was marked by her infectious laughter, zest for cleanliness, and unwavering love for her furry companion, Casey, her trusty maltese yorkie.

Jackie’s professional path was as diverse as her collection of Longerberger baskets and Princess House Crystal. From various jobs to being an exemplary homemaker, she navigated through life with a spirit of adaptability and determination. Whether it was meticulously cleaning her surroundings or indulging in her favorite TV shows, like NCIS and Chicago PD, she always found joy in the little things.

As fervent beach enthusiast, Jackie made sure to soak up the sun and sea breeze at Sandbridge regularly. With a reverence for all things beach-related, coastal decor adorned her home, transporting her to her happy place even when the waves were far from reach.

Aside from her alluring tie-dye wardrobe, Jackie had an intrinsic hippy spirit that shone brightly. Her passion for animals extended beyond her beloved dog, Casey, as she spent years breeding chow-chows. From cheering on her favorite football team to becoming an avid NASCAR viewer, she knew how to have a good time while reveling in the thrill of sports.

Indulging her sentimental side, Jackie was captivated by soap operas such as General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. These shows served as a gateway into a realm of captivating narratives and dramatic twists, where she could lose herself in the lives of fictional characters.

Throughout her life, Jackie treasured her family above all else. In 1978, she exchanged vows with her loving husband, beginning a journey filled with cherished memories and the joy of raising their son, Christopher. Survived by Christopher (Day) Johnson of Chesapeake, VA and granddaughter Madison. Jackie’s legacy lives on within her devoted family and through the countless lives she touched.

Jackie’s infectious laughter, spotless home, and passion for life were contagious. Her unwavering love for her pets, dedication to cleanliness, and adoration for tie-dye and all things pink will be forever remembered. As we bid farewell to this colorful soul, let us find solace in the knowledge that she now rests peacefully, surrounded by an eternal ocean of love.
