It is with the greatest sadness that the family of Kyle Christopher Pollock announce his unexpected passing on June 23rd, 2022 at the age of 32.
Kyle was born November 9, 1989 to Margot Richards (previously Pollock) and Kerry Pollock in Norfolk, Virginia at DePaul Hospital. He was the stepson of James Richards, Jr.
Kyle grew up in Virginia Beach and attended Rosemont Forest Elementary, Salem Middle School, and Salem High School before moving to Northern Virginia. He was a graduate of Osbourn High School in Manassas, Virginia. After graduation, Kyle returned to the Virginia Beach area. Kyle was a plumber and attended school at TCC working to get his master plumber certification. He worked for several companies over the years while learning his trade and was a member of the local plumbers union. Kyle was very artistic and could look at something, sit down and draw it from memory. He had a very special bond with his two nephews James and Nathan Caldwell. He loved to get them to imitate his funny faces and crazy actions, which usually lead to all 3 getting into trouble!
His favorite teams were the New Orlean Saints and the Washington Capitals. He loved the “Friday the 13th” movies and would dress up on Halloween as Michael Myers. Kyle had the biggest heart and never met a stranger. He was always doing something funny to bring a smile to your face and make you laugh. His silly antics and funny expressions were his trademark! He was a friend to many and loved by all who knew him!
Kyle was predeceased by his stepmother Kyle Wendrow and grandparents Jackie Lee Ashley, Jim Pollock, Suzanne Richards and James Richards Sr.
Besides his parents, left to cherish his memory are his sisters Jamie-Lee Richards, Brittany Caldwell (Matt), Sydney McAtee, and his grandparents June Ashley and Gretta Pollock. Kyle has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that also mourn his loss.
“You are no longer by our sides but you are forever in our hearts!”
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday June 29th at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr. Virginia Beach. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday June 30th at 3:00 pm with reception to immediately follow.
